This place isn't called Miracle for nothing

What's up guys? How was your Earth Day? Mine had to be the worst Earth Day every, but it was chill.
Monday we went to drop off some papers to the lawyer in Montserrat. So that was awesome to go back and see a bunch of the peeps from over there. We also watched the Joseph Smith movie with this part family. It was a solid movie time.
Tuesday we didn't have to much go on. It was just Earth Day, but other than that it was lame.
Wednesday we did divisions in Carolingia. I went there with Elder Clyde... Payson City throw it up..... We had tons of good lessons with member and all that jazz. But my comp and I had planned to put some fechas in the divisions to help the other area out with their fecha putting skills. It was awesome cause I put one in Carolingia and my comp put one in our area with William. It was a solid divisions.
On Thursday we taught the Perez Family. We pretty much just reviewed everything again with Ingrid because, she was the only one who hadn't already had her interview. So that was cool. The rest of the day wasn't that great.
Friday was a swell day. We did divisions with the zone leaders so that they could interview Ingrid. I stayed in Econòmica with Elder Tuckfield. SANDYCITYPRIDE. I'd like to note that Jordan high school still sucks, but it was chill being with a fellow sandyteco for the day. We had some lessons. Ingrid passed her interview and we taught the Santos Family in the house of the Diaz Family (the family that got baptized on the 29th of March) Turns out that they are the greatest fellowshippers I have ever seen. It was an incredible lesson about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They killed it with all of their experiences and testimonies. That family truly is chosen.
Saturday we went to the Church to fill up the font so that it was all ready for Sunday. After that we went to a bunch of lessons. One of the ward members got married which meant that no one cold leave with us cause, they were all at the wedding and the after party. That was lame! But other than that it was a good day. We taught some lessons and found a new family. The Sucuqui Family. They are a couple of about twenty nine year olds. We taught them the first lesson and they just accepted it as truth without questioning it. The rest of the day wasn't so hot though. We also helped the Diaz Family to prepare their talks they gave at the Baptism.
Sunday was awesome! We woke up and passed by for everyone. Only six went to Church, but it got better. At Church we were greeting everyone and handing out invitations to the Baptism and a member came up to us and explained that her and her husband got divorced awhile ago and she went inactive for a little bit, but that she has  a year to be back in the Church and that she wants us to Baptize her 10 year old daughter who hasn't been baptized yet. So that was awesome. We then had a solid Church sesh. After Church we ate lunch and went to find some contacts before the wedding and Baptism started. We didn't find them. But I had the feeling to knock this door in the area. We knocked it and a shirtless man answered and without thinking twice told us to come in. Turns out he is a member and has been for about 17 years. He moved to Carranze 3 years ago and went inactive. His wife isn't a member. So we taught them the Plan of Salvation and the lesson ended about 15 minutes before the wedding. We invited them to the wedding and ran to the Church,. Guess who came. THEY DID!!! The first thing I did when the Diaz Family got there was sick them on the new family and they were killing it. The wedding was super awesome and the Baptism was great. Almost the whole ward came so that was solid. This week was awesome and I am grateful that God gave me the chance to see so many miracles. I am grateful that I have that chance every single day. I know that the Church is true. I love the Gospel and I love missionary work. I love you all. Happy B-Day shout out to Ash this week.

Love you guys.

Jazz flute is for little fair boys

Qué onda mucha.....This week was super dirty bros.... It was semana santa which last year was awful. It was just contacting and sitting around, but this year it was awesome!!!
Monday we had some solid district counsel. We also went to buy my scripture cases. Just a few months late right, but it's good. We also had a family night with the Boror Family and some of their neighbors so that was solid.
Tuesday we had all of our appointments fall through until six. We then taught Hermana Monica and found that that she has started reading the Book of Mormon. And by started I mean that she has read the first fifteen chapters in the four days she's had it. So that was solid. We then went to visit our investigator that had the date to be Baptized on Saturday to review the interview questions so that she was ready. She pulled out her mini Preach My Gospel and opened right to the page where they are all written.. #pilas.
Wednesday we taught the daughter of a less active sister who we found recently. Her and her boyfriend have been coming to Church. He wants to get Baptized, but has to get divorced from his old wife and marry her first. But we taught their daughter and she seems pretty awesome. We also visited the family with the date for the 11th of May and left them a sweet poster we made them that says their names and then has a huge picture of Jesus getting Baptized and says "follow the example of Jesus Christ 11th of May" and has boxes so that they can check the three times that they need to go to Church and all of that. It is awesome, but my comp has the picture so I'll try to send it.
Thursday  we had our last interviews with President Stay. They were pretty solid. We also did divisions with the ZL'S so that they could interview Astrid. I stayed in my area with Elder Lopez. It was a good time.
Friday was great! It was supposed to be the slowest day of the Semana Santa right. wrong. We went to fill up the font because, sometimes there isn't water. So we went and it was full blessing right. Wrong. The water was dirty ansd we had to empty it. We then cleaned it ands filled it back up. After that we started divisions with Carolingia. I stayed in my area with Elder Clyde.... shout out to Payson, Utah. It was literally one of the best days of my entire mission. We taught all of our lessons with members,  we didn't have any of them fall and we ended the night with a family night in the house a member with our investigators that have dates for the 11th. Did I mention our investigator gave the Heimlich to the members daughter and saved her life. Sweet right. We also had to run home to make it there on time and we made it by 20 seconds. But I can't run to save my life now a days.
Saturday  we had the baptism of Hermana Astrid and it was awesome!!!
Sunday we went to Church. The zone leaders came to interview the family that is getting Baptized on Sunday and then we pretty much had a bunch of stuff fall through, but we did have a sweet last appointment with the Santos Family where we taught them about the Sabbath Day. This week was incredible. I know that God answers prayers and that we do literally all that we can he makes up for everything that we can't do. I love you all.

Happy Earth Day

Baptism of Astrid conversa más pilas de toda mi misión

I see you went back to giving only two pieces of bread

This week was solid.  Last P Day we went to buy my watch. I finally got a solid new one. We all had a sweet family night with the Boror Family. We have got two days out of the week set up to have Family nights of our investigators in the houses of two families. Only five days left to fill and it´ll be solid. The ward is working pretty well.
Tuesday we did divisions. We all also got our cell phones! Dirty right. We all have cell phones now and it´s changing the work so much! It is so much more effective to work like this! I love it. Elder Lopez one of our zone leaders came to our area with us for the day. There are three so just one came with both of us. It was fun! We were in the MTC together and everything and were in Jalapa together so it was sweet.
Wednesday we had a leadership meeting and it was long, but we learned some cool stuff. We also had some solid lessons.
Thursday I did divisions in Carolingia with Elder Buchanan. It was a good day.
Friday We had zone counsel and yes it was the same exact meeting I was in on Wednesday. So I went to it twice. Did I mention we had a pre meeting meeting with the DLs. So I went to the meeting three times in three days pretty much. We also put two baptismal dates with the Santos Family! They are awesome and progressing well. So we hope they can fulfill their commitment and get baptized on the 10th of May. Which is Mothers Day here in Guatemala! Hahaha.
Saturday I hit months. I don´t even want to say how many cause you all know it. We also did a visit with a new family of members and they gave us a solid reference. We left with a kid who had never even met with the missionaries. What is that. He loved it though so we've got him on the bandwagon. We also had a stake priesthood meeting and we taught Edwin with Hermano Boror.
Sunday we had stake conference and it was awesome. Elder Ochoa came to talk to the stake. We also left with two brothers in the afternoon. One went with us from 7 to 9 20 and we imagined to teach four lessons. A miracle happened too! We had planned to talk to about an investigator whose husband isn't progressing, but she is more than ready, she already passed a baptismal interview and everything about how she could be an example for him. We said the prayer and asked if she had questions. She said do I have to keep waiting for him or can I just get baptized. I want to get baptized already. She has and studies Preach My Gospel with her kids so I asked her to get it out and turn to the back. The question is there and the answer too. She read it and said, okay I want to get baptized. We put the date for this weekend! Miracles truly do happen in the mission when we do all that we can and are obedient. I love being a missionary. The Church is true. Love you all!

U.S.A U.S.A U.S.A

This week was solid. Monday was p-day and my comp wanted to say bye to everyone so we did divisions and I went to two family nights that we had to teach. The last one was good. I gave a short message about the Book of Mormon.
Tuesday we had changes.  My new companion is from Utah and his name is Elder Ashurst. So that's cool. We also taught a lady who's sister is a member but she isn't. She lives in Utah and was here on vacation. Crazy right?
Wednesday was lame.
Thursday was good we did some divisions with members again and we taught a part family and another family that needs to get Baptized. It was solid.
Friday it rained. A ward family night felt through cause no one went not even the lady that had it in her house and we taught the Santos Family about the Book Of Mormon. It was sick.
Saturday was solid we watched conference and I loved it. We also visited a less active family after and that was solid.
Sunday we watched conference and did divisions after to visit more families. It was a solid day. The week was boring, but good. We taught a guy named Cristian that was going to get Baptized as a 17 year old. His friends then fed him some lies about the Church and he didn't. Turns out he chose some bad paths and started drinking and things like that. He recognizes that the Church is true and he wants to get Baptized now. So that was cool. I love you guys.

Love you.

God answers Prayers

HEY FAMILY!!!!!!! My companion has changes! So that's super awesome. This week was good.
Last Monday was crazy. So P-Day and we have to go get the birth certificates of the family that is getting Baptized on Saturday so we get on a bus go down there call them and get their dates. They tell us we have to wait in like a 3 hour line. So that's lame. We are in line and I'm praying really hard that something will happen to get us out of their faster. I have the thought come to me to ask a lady working what I need. She tells me I have it all just to go to the bank and pay. So I go to the bank and pay and we get out of there. We then made our way to.... yeah guess where.... Nueva Montserrat! My first area! To drop the papers off to the lawyer. AKA the old Bishop of the ward. It was awesome! I hadn't been there in so long! It's the exact same and I miss it a ton! I saw some friends and all that good stuff. We then came back and went to a lesson with a member and her non member husband he accepted Baptism, but he is in the process of getting divorced and then wants to marry her. So it will take a minute.
Tuesday we did divisions and I was with Elder Buchanan again. It was awesome. I love divisions. There was no stress about someone getting mad at me for wanting to work or do things well. It was great.
Wednesday was just a normal day. We went to an appointment with the parents of someone who got Baptized in another ward here in the stake. They were awesome. They just don't have the desire to go to Church too much, but they are positive. They said they'll get Baptized if they receive testimonies so that is our job. We also got locked out of the house. We also taught a youth of 16 years. He didn't accept a date for his Baptism, but reads and goes to church every week. He knows it's true. He'll get baptized this change.
Thursday we carried our huge house phone around all day and I felt throwback to Montserrat back when I always carried it in my backpack hahaha. Classic days. We also taught the Santos Family they told us that they think the reason they moved to Carranza was so that we would find them, but they didn't except a date yet either.
Friday nothing really sweet happened.
Saturday we went to wait for the lawyers and they didn't see us and passed us. We were there baffled for hours and they finally found us. Turns out they got lost and the wedding started two hours late. But it went awesome. They got married then Baptized!!!
Sunday we did divisions after Church and it was great to be in a trio with two awesome members all day.
Well the Church is true Brothers and Sisters. Last night I had one of the most spiritual prayers I have ever had and it was answered. We have changes. I then had another one of the best prayers ever of gratitude and I made a covenant with God that I will do everything I can in every possible minute to serve him. So looks like I'm going to have to keep stepping it up. I love you all.
