I'll miss you my beloved Guatemala

What's up mucha... This week was awesome.
Last Monday we had P-Day and I got to see my best friend Elder Linford on his B-Day so that was dope.
Tuesday we went to changes meeting and I took pics and said bye to everyone. That was crazy. My bros the Sican Family from Omnjas made the 3 and a half hour drive to see me so shout out to them. I also gave my testimony. I have never been so scared in my whole life, but it was awesome. After that we went to Las Lomas and I said bye to the homies. I then decided it was too sad so we didn't go to my other areas. I just went with another missionary to his. Wednesday we ate breakfast in the Presidents house. I love that man and his wife with all my heart. I wish they would have come two years ago. But that wasn't what God wanted to happen. We also went to Central Market and bought stuff.
Thursday I said by to everyone way early and came back to La Justo. We worked well this week. We should be having two Baptisms this Friday so we will see what happens.
I want to tell you guys some things I have learned on my mission.....  I have learned how to live in another country, a different culture, Spanish, how to dance bachata, how to love people. How to serve, how to be humble, patient, obedient, loving, cheerful, hard working, valiant, how to eat food I hated at first, how to get along with all kinds of people, how to treat everyone with love and respect.  I've learned more about the Gospel, how important it is to live it, how important it is to share it, how it can bless me, how it has blessed me, how it will bless me.  I have learned that there isn't anything more important than the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I have learned how to lead, follow, talk, be quiet, and so much more. I've learned that God always answers prayers, but sometimes the answer is no. I have learned too much to fit in this email. I want you to all know that I know this is the Church of Our Savior Jesus Christ. He is at its head. Thomas S. Monson has been called as  a Prophet to lead us in these days. He tells us what to do so that we can return to God's presence. I know that this Church has been restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know he saw our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I don't know where I would be if Bishop Cook never would have challenged me to read it that day that seems like it was yesterday. I know that missionary is the most important work that there is. I know that every blessing I receive from here on out was earned in these years in Guatemala. I don't feel like I have given the Lord these years. I feel like He has given them to me. I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and that He lives. I know that He suffered and died for every one of our sins so that we could have the chance to repent. I love him and I know that He loves us. I will never ever ever ever regret the decision I made to leave you all behind for awhile and come here to Guatemala to serve the Lord. I know that we can all return to his presence. If we mess up it's fine. Jesus already payed for it. We can repent. I love the Atonement. I think it is incredible how someone as imperfect as I am could have the privilege to wear our Savior's name of their chest for two years. I know that the Priesthood is the power of God and that it has been restored. I love this country. I never thought that there was a place I'd love as much as Utah, but I love Guatemala with all of my heart. My heart is broken, but my soul is full of joy. I don't want to come home. I don't want this to end, but I'm super stoked to see you guys. I love each and every one of the people I have met. I've learned so much from all of them. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be able to learn so much and experience so much. I love you all with all of my heart. What I'm about to say... I don't know if it is with happiness or sadness... All I know is that there are tears in my eyes right now.... I love you all.... See you next Monday....... With much love from my beloved Guatemala....

If Russ and Brooke's marriage were a kid it could have gotten baptized last week......

What up family.... How have you all been. This week was pretty good. I hope Russell and Brooke had a solid anniversary. I'll always remember how they tried to jack JD's birthday swagger by planning a wedding two days before...so rude... but I'm over it. Happy Birthday to one of my heroes and best friends today!! I love you J!!! You're now super old.... This week was good. We just had a normal week. I bought some cool stuff in the market last Monday.
We also had some solid new investigators this week. We found an awesome family. And we finally put a fecha with a mom of these members for the 15th so we will see what happens. Our Baptism also just went to visit his wife and got super sick and couldn't come back home yet. But he is coming home today. So it is likely that he gets Baptized on Saturday. We also had our interviews with President Caffaro. Can I just say that I love him and his wife. They are awesome.  I felt something incredible in my interviews with both of them. I felt the true confirmation that they have been called by God to preside over this mission. The bad thing is that I don't have much time with them so it won't effect me that much, but they are awesome. I'm pretty sure the conversation I had with President changed my life for forever. But other than that it was just a normal week. I have to give my testimony tomorrow in changes meeting.... I'M SO SCARED! But it's chill.
I know that Jesus Christ lives and that he is our Savior. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only Church that can lead us back to his presence and that the only way to be saved is by obedience to the commandments.
I love you all and desire that you have a swell week. Next week will be my final email and it will have to be the best I've ever written as well.

Love you guys! Write me! It's my last temple for heavens sake!!!!

Hay que tomar... pero las cosas enserio... QUote form my boy sergio to a drunk in the street

Hey guys! What's up? How was your week? Mine was good. We had a solid Monday we went to the mall and we also found a new family, but even though they appeared super pilas they are crazy....
Tuesday we taught our boy Neftali. He is about 72 and the dad of a member he was going to get Baptized in 1985, but he wasn't married and living with someone so he couldn't. He has been awesome and is getting Baptized this Saturday. We also taught this girl we have been teaching and she was actually super pilas this time, but on Wednesday and Thursday she failed us so we had to drop her.
Wednesday I had divisions with my boy Elder Chavez we killed it. It was classic. He's super dope.
Thursday the family from Monday spoke pure apostasy to us and we made them look dumb with scriptures from the Bible and then we decided they aren't really going to progress too well. So they have one last chance this week. We also have left with Oscar like everyday. It's sweet to see his excitement while getting ready to go on his mission. Great guy.
On Saturday we taught the Dad of our boy Dorian who goes with us like everyday. He is cool. He just has some problems, but he can progress.
Sunday was a good day. We found a new family. We also had our boy Neftali super excited at Church when they announced his Baptism this week. He stood up and everything. It was classic. He's one of the coolest people I've ever met. I honestly think that the reason I am here in La Justo is to meet these awesome members and investigators that have helped me to keep the spirit of work I've always had here in the mission.
We also gave our investigator chicote with Alma 32: 16 and 19 and D&D and it worked. He's actually progressing and went to Church now.  I love you all. The Church is true.

Mexico City East Mission

Guys this week was good.  Last Monday was average we just ate and played soccer. At night we taught the Ramos Family in the house of a member and it was awesome. Even though they didn't go to Church so they can't get baptized this week! :(  When we were playing soccer it started pouring rain and it was super fun.
Tuesday we did divisions with Guajitos and I went there. It was pretty good.
Wednesday we left with Dorian and also had a sweet family night with some converts and some investigators. It was awesome.
Thursday we left with the same family. They were dirty. We had some sick visits.
Friday we just taught lessons.
Saturday we had a bad day, but we did have one sweet lesson.
Sunday was good. We had some people come to Church.  It's hard to find new people who will actually keep their commitments right now. But it's alright.  A kid in our ward also got his mission call yesterday to Mexico. He always leaves with us so that's cool. I love you all and I know that the Church is true. I know that Heavenly Father gives us trials so that we grow and become the people that we need to so that we can return to his presence some day. I know that the Church that Jesus Christ established is on the earth today and that I represent it everyday. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God called to restore the Church.  I know that God speaks to us today through his Prophet Thomas S. Monson.  I also know that families can be forever. I love you all. Do it big up there in the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Poor Las Vegas

This week was super dope... Well it was decent.
On Monday we killed it with some solid soccer. I missed playing soccer on p-days. It reminds me of the good old days. We also had an awesome family night with some investigators in the house of their neighbors.
Tuesday we did divisions and I went with my boy Elder Evans in his area. It was pretty fun. We had some solid times and worked pretty hard. I miss having a young comp.
Wednesday we left with Dorian and had a bunch of sweet lessons.
Thursday  Nothing
Friday we had a lesson with the Bishop and the old Bishop in his house with his father in law and the guy does not want to get Baptized. He keeps pushing his date back. Now he says September so.... it's whatever. We also had  a lesson with a pretty pilas girl, but she says that she can't get Baptized cause, she doesn't want to repent.  I don't know what's up.
Saturday we taught this super old family that we got as references. They are 88 and 78, but still going half way strong. The lady can't hear and the man can't see so they are perfect for each other.
Sunday we taught some good lessons and we left with these four teenagers that love leaving for some reason. They are all pretty sweet. We found a dirty new family that was in the states for awhile. We also had a good lesson with our fechas. Hopefully they can just go to Church once more and get Baptized.  The truth is I need to make better notes before I write. Next week I promise I will. All I remember is we taught like 25 lessons with member this week so that was good. But I love you all. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings us happiness and that as we live it we can see miracles in our lives. I put this title just for you Walton cause you get it.

Love you all.

Sometimes good things happen to good people

What's up bros.... and everyone else who reads this email. How have you all been?  I'm using the same computer as last week so sorry for the grammatical errors.  I promise I'm still good at stuff like that.  I know my emails have been lame lately , but it's my weakness. Remind like it says in Ether God gives men weaknesses so that they may be humble... so lay off..... haha This week was good.
On Monday we played soccer with the zone and it was my first soccer game in like a year. Since I left Montserrat.. and I've still got it.  I never really had too much, but what I had I still have. We also taught Erick and Carmen to get them ready for their Baptism.
Tuesday we left with a kid named Dorian. He's 19 and super cool. We taught some solid lessons and all that jazz. We also had these two 13 year olds go with us to an appointment cause, there was no one else.  It was solid though. They killed it. hashtag #futuremissionaries
On Wednesday we did divisiones and I went to Guajitos with my boy Elder Prestwhich. We go way back to the days of Milagro..... Well anyways we worked super hard and had a great day. I love being with young guys. It is the best way to go.
Thursday We taught Carmen and Erick about fasting. It was Erick's Birthday and they weren't doing anything cause, they have no money. The member that was with us left and bought them a cake after the lesson.  It was pretty solid. hes a sweet kid.
Friday was the Fourth of July.  I jammed MOTAB'S America album all day and night. We also taught this teenager that has been going to Guajitos but live in our area. We convinced her to go to mutual and Church in our ward since she lives in it.  And she's a new investigator.  I also finished reading the Book of Mormon again and had the chance to pray and ask God if it is true.  I know that it is and I love it.
Saturday we had the Baptism of Erick and Carmen!!!! It was awesome!!!! We also left with our boy Emma.  He's a 16 year old that always leaves with us.
Sunday we had a solid day of visits. We got some sweet members to leave with us. This is my first area where the youth like working.  It's awesome.  I love you guys!!!

AMERICA

Whats up everybody.... How are you all doing.... My question mark doesn't work... Or my commas.... asi que... this email is garbage.
But this week was decent. Sonia and Oscar got married yesterday and Sonia got baptized!!! But I was not there cause I had changes last week... I just forgot to tell you guys. I'm in the Ward Justo Rufino in Zona 21. It's super cool I guess. I would have rather just stayed in Economica. We are re-opening the area so it's not that fun.... As you can all tell I'm not super excited to end my mission like this, but it's whatever. We got here on Tuesday and we left with some cool teenager named Oscar. His Dad just got released from being Bishop. He's 19 and getting ready to go on his mission and he's super cool. He took us to a bunch of members houses and to some investigators houses. This whole week has been pretty much getting to know everyone and everything so it's been a little bit rough. I do like the area so far though.
I love you guys! I know that the Church is true and that it was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that God is our Heavenly Father and that he loves us and wants us to be happy. That Jesus Christ is our Savior and that he came to this earth and died for us so that we can repent of our sins and return to live in the presence of our Heavenly Father. I love you all. I'll write a better email next week.
